Rachel Burkholder
Workforce Development Program Manager
Rachel Burkholder is a Career Specialist and works with advanced neighbors to help them find higher level jobs and gain degree equivalencies for those who studied internationally.
Rachel graduated from The Ohio State University (OSU) with a Bachelor's of Science in Human Development and Family Science and is currently studying a Master’s of Human Migration online. She and her husband currently live near OSU where they enjoy the vibrant and diverse people around them. Before working at the RIC, she spent time living overseas, studying cross-culturally, and working as a Patient Care Assistant in both adult and pediatric hospitals. Rachel previously lived on Riverview Drive for 3 years and has enjoyed building friendships with neighbors who were truly her neighbors!
Rachel enjoys learning about the values, beliefs and cultures of other people. She finds listening to people’s stories, whether they be new friends or old friends, as one of the most important foundations to any job. “If you are willing to hear and sense both what is being said as well as what goes unsaid, you can figure out how to truly care for anyone.” Rachel is grateful for the kindness of our neighbors and their compassion and passion for welcoming others, both from the States and other places around the world. “It is both an honor and a gift to learn to know Riverview neighbors.”
